PCD vs. Hyde (January 18, 2013)

"The Wolfpack suffered a heartbreaking, 59-61 loss at Providence Country Day on Friday 18, January. For the second time in a week, Hyde lost its lead in the closing minute of the game as PCD hit a deep three point shot to take a 55-58 advantage before closing out the game at the stripe. The first half was hard fought, Hyde’s interior size advantage was offset by PCD’s three point shooting and fast break conversions.  However, the second half was dominated by Hyde in the early going. Christian Ejiga ’13 and Ken Grant ’14 scored fourteen and fifteen points and controlled nine and eleven rebounds, respectively. Julian Mardenli PG returned to his home state with his best performance of the season, finishing with eighteen points on seventy percent shooting, but the referees were less kind to Mardenli. When he fouled out, the Wolfpack saw its twelve point lead slowly dissipate. The Boys Varsity Basketball team’s record now stands at seven wins and seven losses."
